Do we create knowledge?
Let me first congratulates...ALL The Team Members those who created a next generation KM (knowledge management) based communication tool like -----> 0space.org .
Now will come to..Do we create konwledge?
The speed at which world is growing.....certainly.. ..The knwoledege is NOT created /channelized at faster pace.
I do personally believe that...if u apply simple supply chain concept on current Education sytem...structure will something like this...
Student/corporate/group/nation .... a CUSTOMER
Knowledge Content at delivery side....OUTPUT....struggling with issues like.....quality/cost/delivery/flexibilty..
Knowledge transformation systems...EDUCATION SYSTEM...currently at delima status..where to & how to move further..on what form.
Teachers/Trainers/Professors/KM content at supply side....INPUT.
Almost invissible.....Feedback System
hope you will convince in certain extent....with my view points. very soon coming with deep thoughs...out box thinking on Education system.
regards,
pksingh
a supply chain PROBLEM SOLVER.
supply-chain approach to voluntary knowledge collaboration?
Interesting view point. Waiting for more on it..
I see your points in case of CBSE content (for example) creation, delivery, and consumption.
But, do you see same supply chain issues in voluntary knowledge collaboration ( = knowledge production and consumption processes) taking place through WIKIPEDIA?
Knowledge - explicit and tacit.
I found that the definition of knowledge is a matter of on-going debate among philosophers in the field of epistemology. Following Wittgenstein's ideas, knowledge has been "reconstructed as a cluster concept that points out relevant features but that is not adequately captured by any definition".
Most often, we refer to "explicit knowledge" when we mention knowledge. Knowledge articulated and stored in pages in this site contain explicit knowledge.
At the same time, various collaborative activities taking place via this site (or otherwise) might result in transfer of "tacit knowledge".
[Tacit knowledge has been described as “know-how” -- as opposed to “know-what” (facts), “know-why” (science), or “know-who” (networking). It involves learning and skill but not in a way that can be written down.]
So, let us use the site in all possible way for useful collaborations. And leave it for someone else to think about knowledge creation or management!
Real Source
We don’t know real source of any thing. Generally we assign credit for being a source to container, possessor or one who customize. In this sense only we create our house, country, child or knowledge.
