A lot of experiments have been done in teaching techniques. Class-room teaching has been augmented by various
types of additional activities (for individuals and for groups of students). But, we still find (CBSE) students taking help from teachers/tutors and coaching schools beyond regular school hours.
CBSE segment is an experiment to try out e-learning at school level. It is not limited to CBSE though. We chose to mention CBSE only to emphasize that for content and tests we'd stay close to the CBSE curriculum.
In this segment, we are trying to find out -
-
how we can develop a networked e-learning environment that enables students and educators to meet some of the requirements that forces them to work after hours,
- how such an environment will really benefit the large CBSE teacher and student community,
- how we can get educators interested in contributing to this segment, and
- how much content and tests must be provisioned to attain a critical mass which will trigger sustained learning activities at this site.
